LOUISVILLE, KY – The Presbyterian College men's and women's cross country teams will travel to the 2014 Southeast Regional Meet hosted by Louisville at Tom Sawyer State Park on Friday, November 14.
The women's 6k championship will start at noon with a predicted wind chill of 27 degrees. The ACC looks to take 6 of the top 7 places in the women's race. North Carolina (11th), Virginia (14th) and NC State (18th) are likely to qualify while Virginia Tech is also likely to receive an at large bid.
The men's 10k championship will start at 1 p.m. with the weather slightly better at a predicted 29 degrees. Furman is ranked first in the region and 16th in the nation while NC State (18th) is most likely to take the other automatic qualifying spot. North Carolina (22nd) and Virginia (28th) are inside the bubble and will attempt to earn an at large bid.

Last season, Gabriele Lesieur (Augusta, Ga) led the women with a 6k time of 25:49 on a challenging course. Lesieur ran a 5k PR of 20:00 earlier this season which ranks 4th all-time for the program. The school's 6k record of 24:22 was set by Tanith Forrester in 2002.
Reid McCandless (Fort Mill, SC) and Chris Sacco (Rock Hill, SC) are the men's top returners. McCandless ran his lone collegiate 10k in 37:32 while Sacco was close behind at 37:56.
PC finished 35th and 38th as a team last season and looks to improve upon those standings after both were 11th at the Big South Championship race two weeks ago.
