ORLANDO, Fla. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team wrapped up Spring Break play on Friday with a 4-3 victory over Stetson and a 5-2 win over Coe College in Florida.
PC ends the day at 16-3 and returns home to host Liberty and Newberry on Saturday, March 15 at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
PC 4, Stetson 3
The day began with a hard-fought win over Stetson, 4-3.
The doubles point would prove crucial and PC came out on top with victories at the second and third flights. Ben Kelley (Weaverville, N.C.) and Ryan Miller (Norcross, Ga.) edged Hans Adrian Riseng and Cahit Kapukiran while Diego Manzanas (Madrid, Spain) and Grayson Mills (Lilburn, Ga.) handled Nathan Debut and Graham Ball, 8-2.
The two sides split singles with three apiece and the dual match result came down to No. 1 between Mills and Debut. The Blue Hose senior dropped the first set, 4-6, but cruised in the second set, 6-2. Mills then sealed the win for PC with a third-set victory, 6-3.
The team's other victories came at the fourth and sixth flights. The No. 4 Miller pushed past Chester Espie, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3, while Kelley cleaned up at No. 6 over Gonzalo Arroyo, 6-2, 6-3.
Rafael Berghaus (Offenbach, Germany) came up short in a three-set contest against Laurynas Antropikas, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4, and Joel Roberts (Summerville, S.C.) fell to Ball at No. 5, 6-2, 7-6 (11-9). Kapukiran grabbed Stetson's first win of the day over Bruce, 6-1, 7-5.

The Blue Hose followed up their earlier with win a 5-2 victory over Coe College.
The second flight doubles pairing of Kelley and Miller dispatched Ryan Hickman and Michael Jansen before Berghaus and Roberts closed out Coe with a 8-7 top flight win over Noah Sprinkel and Riley Galbraith.
In singles action, PC won flights two through five in dominating fashion. Miller closed out Galbraith at the second flight, 6-2, 6-3, while Roberts downed Hickman, 6-2, 6-2.
Kelley toppled Sean Stokstad at the fourth flight, 6-3, 6-1 and Manzanas cruised over Alex Bernt, 6-2, 6-1.
