CLINTON, S.C. - The Radford Highlanders defeated the Presbyterian College women's basketball team 43-35 on Thursday evening at the Templeton Center in Clinton, S.C.

The Blue Hose drop to 7-8 (2-4 in the Big South) and will travel to Coastal Carolina on Saturday for a 2 p.m. conference matchup. Radford improves to 6-8 overall and 3-2 in the Big South.

Janie Miles (Clemson, S.C.) led the Blue Hose with 14 points, while Keyonna Allen (Forest Park, Ga.) tallied seven points and eight rebounds.

Aisha Foy scored a game-high 17 points for the Highlanders. Janayla White had nine points and 16 rebounds.

PC shot an icy 21% (12-57) from the field and 60 percent (6-10) from the foul line. Radford was 33 percent (16-49) from the field and 46 percent (6-13) from the charity stripe. The Highlanders out-rebounded the Blue Hose 49-34, but had 20 turnovers compared to PC's 11 miscues.

PC got out to a 7-4 lead early in the game before Radford scored 10 unanswered points to take a 14-7 lead with 7:41 to play in the half. The Blue Hose responded with a seven point run over the next three minutes to tie it up 14-14. Radford closed out the half with seven straight points before Allie Wagner (Easley, S.C.) scored on a layup to end the visitors' scoring run. The Highlanders held a 21-16 lead at halftime. Miles led PC with nine points at the break.  

The Blue Hose opened up the second half with seven unanswered points, but Radford responded with an eight point run of their own to take a 29-23 lead.  Allen snapped the Highlanders surge with a pair of free throws to cut the Blue Hose deficit to 29-25 with 11:52 to play in the game. Radford outscored PC 14-10 during the final stretch of the game to earn the eight point victory.
