BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.- The Presbyterian College men's tennis team earned its second Big South Conference win of the season on Tuesday afternoon when the Blue Hose beat Gardner-Webb on the Runnin' Bulldogs Senior Day, 5-2. 

PC goes to 15-7 overall and 2-3 in the Big South, while Gardner-Webb falls to 8-10 on the year and 2-4 in conference play.

The Blue Hose earned the doubles point with wins at lines two and three. Joel Roberts (Summerville, S.C.) and Ben Kelley (Weaverville, N.C.) bested Brendan Dempsey and Korhan Ates 8-5 at No. 2 doubles, while Danny Bruce (Marietta, Ga.) and Diego Manzanas (Madrid, Spain) beat the No. 3 team of Benjami Kaszas and Yaroslav Prostakov, 8-1. Nikita Zverkov and Ernest Alberch defeated PC's No. 1 team of Alexander Lykou (Aarhus, Denmark) and Brandon Mills (Lilburn, Ga.)

Manzanas gave PC a 2-0 lead with his win in straight sets over Alberch at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-4. 

Mills was defeated by Alberch at line 5, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 to make the score 2-1.

Kelley earned a victory in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3 over Prostakov at line 6 and Lykou won the match for the Blue Hose with his 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 win against Kaszas at line 1.

Alejandro Bejar (Madrid, Spain) earned a victory at No. 4 singles over Ates, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 and Roberts lost a close one to Zverkov at No. 2, 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4).
