CLINTON, S.C.- The Presbyterian College men's tennis team won its second straight Big South Conference match on Wednesday afternoon when the Blue Hose bested UNC Asheville, 6-1, at the Templeton Tennis Courts. 

PC improves to 16-7 overall and 3-3 in Big South action. Asheville drops to 10-6 on the year and 2-4 in the conference schedule.

In doubles, PC earned the point with wins in the top two flights. Alexander Lykou (Aarhus, Denmark) and Brandon Mills (Lilburn, Ga.) bested Brett Landau and Alex Croker at the top spot, 8-5, while Ben Kelley (Weaverville, N.C.) and Joel Roberts (Summerville, S.C.) earned an 8-7 win at No. 2 over Thomas Panoulas and John Schubel.

The Blue Hose went on to take the bottom five singles matches from the Bulldogs.

Alejandro Bejar (Madrid, Spain) started singles play with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Landau at No. 4 singles. Danny Bruce (Marietta, Ga.) also got a win in straight sets at line 5 with his 6-1, 6-3 win against Croker to make it a 3-0 PC lead. 

Diego Manzanas (Madrid, Spain) won No. 3 singles with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Josh Swindler, Roberts handed Panoulas a 6-7, 6-2, 10-6 loss at line 2, and Kelley beat Schubel 2-6, 7-6, 11-9 at the No. 6 spot to extend PC's lead to 6-0. 

The Bulldogs closed out the match with a win at No. 1 singles when Daniel Kripak bested Lykou in a long three sets, 5-7, 7-5, 10-6.
