PC wraps up non-conference play against Appalachian State

PC falls to Radford in Big South opener

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's soccer team got topped by Radford 2-0 on Saturday in both teams Big South conference opener at Martin Stadium.

The Blue Hose fell to 0-8-0, 0-1-0 in the Big South Conference, while the Highlanders improved to 6-1-1, 1-0-0 on the year.

Donovan Waddell (Columbia, S.C.) led PC with three shots and put two on goal.

Jamie Summers scored for Radford on a penalty kick in the 18th minute to give the Highlanders an early 1-0 lead. Jakod Strandsater scored his first goal of the season in the 49th minute with an assist from Finn Tiedemann.

Johnny Archer (Charlotte, N.C.) collected six saves for the Blue Hose.

Presbyterian plays its final non-conference game of the season against Appalachian State 7 p.m. Tuesday at Martin Stadium.
