CLINTON, S.C. –The Prebyterian College men's soccer team picked up a 2-0 win over Longwood on Senior Day to improve to 4-2 in the Big South this season and 4-10 overall. The Lancers fell to 4-10-1 and 2-3-1 in Conference play.
How It Happened
PC forward Jordan Barbara was tripped in the box by a Longwood defender at the 15:18 mark. Adrian Edo Martin converted the ensuing penalty kick, his third goal of the season, to give PC the 1-0 lead.
At the half, PC was outshooting Longwood 9-1 and led on corner kicks 5-0. The Lancers' Jacob Reimers had two saves.
In the 58th minute, Jeremy Jaquier drew a foul for Longwood at the top of the 18-yard box. Josh Hanratty hit the left post with his penalty kick, his first miss of the season after converting 4-for-4 entering Saturday.
Marcos Kitromilides finished a cross from Barbara in the 84th minute of the game to seal the 2-0 win for PC. It was the freshman's team-leading fifth goal of the year.
For the game, PC outshot Longwood 18-8 and led 9-4 on corners.
