Charleston, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Football team was unable to overcome multiple third quarter turnovers as Charleston Southern picked up a 41-7 win on Saturday night at Buccaneer Field.
OPENING KICK
• Senior wide receiver DaShawn Davis with his first quarter touchdown became the third Blue Hose in the D1 era to score 10+ receiving touchdowns. The first Blue Hose since Michael Ruff to hit the 10+ touchdown mark.
• Sophomore Colby Campbell led the defense with seven tackles and recorded his third sack of the season. Senior Chad Stevens recorded his first career sack as a Blue Hose on Saturday night.
• Freshman Jarius Jeter recorded 66 yards on 14 carries to lead the PC backfield.
• The Blue Hose recorded a season-high 9.0 tackles for loss led by Michael Fisher with a pair of those tackles.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• PC got the offense going on its opening drive with a 10 play drive highlighted a pair of third down conversions capped by a Walker to Davis eight yard TD pass to give the Blue Hose a 7-0 lead.
• The Buccaneers answered with a 24-yard touchdown to tie the game up at seven early in the second quarter. CSU took the lead two plays later on a 17-yard interception return to make it 14-7.
• Charleston Southern tacked on a 32-yard field goal at the end of the first half to make it 17-7.
• CSU made it 24-7 after a muffed snap on a punt during the Blue Hose opening drive of the third quarter.
• The Bucs added a touchdown following a PC muffed kickoff return with a one-yard score to make it 31-7.
• After a Buccaneer field goal, the home team added a touchdown to give them a 41-7 final margin of victory.

• The Blue Hose return to Bailey Memorial Stadium next Saturday for homecoming as Monmouth comes to town. The game against the Hawks will kick off at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
