High Point, N.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team dropped a four-set match to High Point on Tuesday night. The Blue Hose were defeated by the Panthers 25-11, 25-19, 24-26, and 25-18.
Freshman Lauren Talbert led PC with 10 kills on the night. Senior Jaclyn Brewington tallied a team-high 16 assists. Sophomore Taylor Farmer paced the Blue Hose with 23 digs. Junior Erin Eulitz and freshman Erin Cooke chipped in with six kills each.
In the third set, the Blue Hose found themselves in a back and forth battle. High Point would jump out to an early lead, but PC would even the set at eight. The set would be tied at 11 before the Blue Hose scored three straight points to take a 14-11 lead. The Panthers fought to even things up at 17. PC and High Point would once again find themselves deadlocked, this time at 19, but the Blue Hose took five of the next six points to hold a 24-20 lead. The Panthers evened the set at 24, but the Blue Hose would prevail by taking the next pair of points.
