Men's Tennis Falls to Coastal Carolina

CONWAY, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team fell on the road at Coastal Carolina, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Stevens Tennis Complex. PC falls to 3-6 on the year, while CCU improved to 2-1.

The Chanticleers claimed the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. PC's No. 1 pair of Alexander Lykou and Brandon Mills recorded a 6-4 victory, but CCU took the remaining two matches, 6-2 and 6-4, respectively, to take the 1-0 lead.

Singles favored the former Big South foe, as they came out on top in five of the six matches. Freshman Daniel Stenger recorded PC's lone point of the match with a three-set victory at No. 4, 6-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5) for his team-leading fifth victory of the season.

The Blue Hose return to action on Saturday with a doubleheader against The Citadel, at 10 a.m., and Belmont Abbey, at 3:30 p.m., at the Templeton Tennis Courts.
