Charlotte, N.C. - The Presbyterian College men's tennis team was defeated by Charlotte in their 2019 season opener on Saturday afternoon, 6-1.

Freshman Max Benson collected his first win as a Blue Hose in regular season play, taking the number three singles match 6-2, 6-3.

Fellow freshman Nicholas McKinney took part in a marathon match in number four singles, taking the first set 7-6, falling 6-1, and then being outlasted 11-9 in the third and final set.

The match scheduled for Sunday, January 13 against South Carolina has been postponed due to incoming inclement weather. The Blue Hose are set to return to action on Sunday, January 27 when they host Chattanooga and Coastal Georgia.
