Dipzinski Scores in Tough Loss to High Point

Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's soccer team went toe-to-toe with the Big South leaders, High Point, at Martin Stadium on Wednesday night. The Blue Hose took a 1-0 lead in the 57th minute, but the visitors were able to respond with three late goals to take the victory.

Scoring Summary

- Caroline Dipzinksi scored her second of the year by calmly placing a rebounded penalty kick on net at 56:03.

- Keagan Bragg tied the game at 66:56 with an unassisted goal on a curving shot that found upper 90.

- Sam Gerhart made it 2-1 with a low shot past the keeper at 81:55 off a pass from Alex Palmer.

- Juliette Vidal sealed the win with a successful penalty kick at 84:18.

 

By the Numbers

- High Point led in possession and had an overwhelming lead in shots, 18-7.

- Shots on goal also favored the visitors, 10-3, with the Panthers also leading in corner kicks, 6-1.

 

Notables

- Alyssa Leaman played the full 90 minutes, making seven saves. She now ranks 4th in PC's Division I era with 127 career saves.

- Morgan Hutchison recorded her team-leading 14th point of the season (5G, 4A) after her penalty kick hit the crossbar and fell to Dipzinksi for the goal. The junior moved into a 5th place tie with Sarah Yoss (2014) in PC's DI record books for points in a single season.
