North Andover, Mass.  – The Presbyterian College football team dropped a back and forth battle with Merrimack College as the host Warriors picked up a slim 24-21 victory on Saturday afternoon at Duane Stadium. Freshman Tyler Huff had a career-high 244 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns in the loss. Colby Campbell led the defense with 12 tackles.

OPENING KICK
- Jarius Jeter's touchdown run in the first quarter gave the sophomore 1,000 career rushing yards. Jeter is the seventh Blue Hose to reach the plateau.
- Wide Receiver Keith Pearson with his first catch on Saturday became the eighth player in Presbyterian's D1 history to reach 100 career receptions.
- Colby Campbell racked up 12 tackles to give him his sixth 10+ tackle performance on the season and second straight. Campbell also eclipsed 200 career tackles with Saturday's performance.
- Freshman quarterback Tyler Huff set a pair of career-high thru the air with 244 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also had a career-high 56 yards on the ground.
- Jeter's 70-yard run is tied for the sixth longest rushing play from scrimmage in PC's D1 history.
- Dohnte Meyers led the offense with 86 yards and a touchdown.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Presbyterian got the offense going quickly on Saturday, Jeter broke a 70-yard run to give PC an early lead.
- The Warriors matched with a 10-yard receiving score to even the game at seven apiece.
- Merrimack regained the lead on a 22-yard touchdown to make it 14-7 with six minutes to play in the first half.
- The Blue Hose tied the game at 14 with a Hail Mary from Huff to Buchanan to even the game at the break.
- The hosts regained the lead in the fourth quarter with a 31-yard field goal early in the fourth.
- PC answered with a 26-yard touchdown score from Huff to Meyers to make it 21-17.
- The Warriors answered with a nine yard rushing score to take a 24-21 lead late in the fourth that would hold up for the Merrimack victory.

• Presbyterian concludes the road side of its 2019 schedule next weekend at Hampton for a 1 pm kickoff at Armstrong Stadium. The game will be on ESPN+ and broadcasted on WPCC 96.5 FM and Fox Sports 98.3 FM.
