McCollum's 72 Leads PC on Final Day at Kiawah Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – Freshman Jimmy McCollum carded an even par 72 to lead the Presbyterian College men's golf team in the final round of the Kiawah Classic on Tuesday. Presbyterian finished 19th in the team standings with a total of 902 (304, 306, 292) at the three-day event, which was hosted by Charleston Southern at the Turtle Point GC (par-72, 6911 yards).

No. 24 Auburn cruised to the team title with a 31-under par 833 (274, 282, 277), while the Tigers' Jovan Rebula led wire-to-wire to claim medalist honors.

Notables
- Sitting three-over par after seven holes, McCollum birdied four of his next seven to drop to one-under for the day. The freshman's six birdies were the most by a Blue Hose in any round of the event. He finished tied for 80th at 226 (74, 80, 72).
- Freshman Thomas Hollingsworth followed up Monday's 72 with a 73. He finished tied for 55th at 222 (77, 72, 73). Hollingsworth carded 11 birdies to lead PC for the tournament.
- Senior AJ Nolin was the highest finisher for PC, earning a tie for 43rd with a 219 (73, 73, 73) total. His 39 pars tied for third-most in the field.
- Sophomore Nat Simkins birdied three out of four holes during one stretch to drop back to even before ending up with a 74, his best round of the event. His 241 (80, 87, 74) total placed 111th.
- Junior Josh Taylor finished 115th with a 243 total (81, 81, 81).
