The men's basketball team rallied from a nine-point deficit to tie the game with just over a minute remaining, but two clutch Terrier baskets the final minute proved too much as the Blue Hose dropped a 63-64 decision to St. Francis Brooklyn in action last Tuesday in Brooklyn Heights, N.C. ... Chris Martin and JC Younger led the team with 12 points apiece ... Chris Martin went a perfect six-for-six from the charity stripe, while CJ Melton scored a career-high seven points ... 

A young team in 2019-20, the Blue Hose have enlisted several new starters this season, including freshman Michael Isler who is averaging 28.3 minutes ... Ben Drake, a redshirt senior, saw limited action the last few seasons due to injury, has started every game, while ... Kody Shubert, who started three games as a freshman last season, has started the last two games ...

A new season brings a new coaching staff with the addition of 2007 PC alum Quinton Ferrell ... An integral member of the basketball team as a student-athlete he served as an assistant coach from graduation to 2012 ... After stops at The Citadel and Army, he settled at College of Charleston for five seasons from 2014-19 ... In his fourth season the Cougars made a memorable run that included the program's second-straight 25-win campaign, an impressive 26-8 overall record and 14-4 mark in CAA play ... The co-regular-season champions won the CAA Men's Basketball Championship and earned their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1999 ...
