Series History | Last Matchup
UNCW won the previous two matchups, in 2007 and 2018, but this will be the first meeting in Clinton. The Seahawks opened the game on a 15-4 run last season to build an early cushion before winning 63-48 and were led by Paige Powell's 12 points/12 rebounds. Kacie Hall (4 points) surpassed 500 career points and Bria Gibbs scored eight points on 3-5 (.600) shooting.

No Handouts
After allowing 10-26 (.380) free throws to SC State in the season opener, PC has held their opponents to fewer than 10 made free throws in six consecutive games: West Virginia (7-9), William Peace (7-8), Florida (8-16), College of Charleston (8-11), Wofford (4-7) and Illinois (7-15).

3PT Defense
After holding opponents to just .235 (24-102) on 3pt attempts through the first five games, Wofford connected on .600 (9-15) and Illinois connected on .333 (8-24) to raise the season average to .291 (41-141).

Rankings
PC leads the Big South with 67 steals. Trinity Johnson also leads the Conference with 20 steals, while Kacie Hall ranks second with an assist/turnover ratio of 2.36.

Keep An Eye On
Trinity Johnson led the team with 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 31.6 minutes per game over the final 10 games of last season. Over that span, she also sank 75-99 free throws (.750). Johnson (14.3 ppg) has led the team in scoring five times this season.

Starting Strong
Bria Gibbs is averaging a basket more per game with a collegiate-best 7.3 ppg through seven games after averaging 5.3 ppg as a freshman. She started the season with 14 points at SC State on a perfect 6-of-6 performance from the floor and added 15 points against CofC on 5-of-7 shooting and 5-of-6 free throws.

Big South Honors
Kacie Hall was named to the Big South Preseason All-Conference Second Team. The senior guard averaged 12.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game last year while leading the Big South with a .415 three-point field goal percentage.

New Faces
Head Coach Alaura Sharp added seven new players by the way of two transfers and five freshmen. Redshirt sophomore Briley Buckner has also returned from an injury that kept her from playing last season.

Milestones Ahead
Kacie Hall has 168 career three pointers and needs 29 more to catch 4th place, Janie Miles (2014-18). The senior guard also needs 69 points to reach 1000.
