Last Time Out
Alessia Capley led the team with a collegiate-best 15 points and three blocks, but Hampton's Nylah Young (21 pts) and Laren VanArsdale (20 pts) led the Pirates to a convincing 71-42 win at the Templeton Center. Trinity Johnson added 13 points to finish in double digits for the ninth consecutive game.

Series History | Last Matchup
The Eagles lead the series 22-10 and swept the regular season last year. However, the last time they met, No. 9 PC defeated No. 8 Winthrop, 64-52, in the opening round of the Big South Tournament on March 12. Trinity Johnson led all scorers with 24 points and was 11-16 (.688) from the free throw line.

Scouting Report
Winthrop picked up a convincing 52-38 win at USC Upstate on Thursday night. The Eagles had three players finish in double figures: Miguela Santoro (14 pts, 6 rbs), Jah'Che Whitfield (11 pts, 6 rbs) and Kem Nwabudu (11 pts, 9 rbs).

Destinee Jamison-Whitfield (11.2 ppg) and Jah'Che Whitfield (10.5 ppg) lead the Eagles offensively. Anika Riley eclipsed 500 career rebounds with six boards against GWU on January 6.

Trinity Johnson leads the Big South with a 3-point FG percentage of .450, is fourth in scoring (15.8), fifth in FG percentage (.440), 12th in assists (2.7), 6th in FT percentage (.746) and 2nd in steals (2.8). Jade Compton ranks seventh in rebounds (6.6). Kacie Hall ranks 10th in assists (2.8). Tionna Carter ranks ninth in blocked shots (0.8). 

Double-Double
Jade Compton recorded the team's first double-double of the season with a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds in a home loss to Longwood on January 4. The junior forward has a pair of +20 point performances and double-figure rebounds in three games.

Big South Player of the Week
Trinity Johnson was named the Big South Player of the Week on December 9 after her 30-point performance against UNCW that saw the guard account for half of PC's offense. Johnson previously was named the Freshman of the Week during the 2018-19 season (March 10) after back-to-back games with 24 points.

New Faces
Head Coach Alaura Sharp added seven new players by the way of two transfers and five freshmen. Redshirt sophomore Briley Buckner has also returned from an injury that kept her from playing last season.

Milestones Ahead
Kacie Hall has 175 career three pointers and needs 22 more to catch 4th place, Janie Miles (2014-18). The senior guard also needs 29 points to reach 1000.
