Men's Tennis Heads to Mercer on Saturday

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team continues its season-opening road trip on Saturday afternoon with a trip to Mercer.

MATCHUP: Presbyterian College (0-2) at Mercer (1-3)

COACH RINCON ON THE MATCH
"We've had really good practices since we last competed," said head coach Eduardo Rincon. "Mercer is always a really good team and we're ready for another challenge and are excited to get back out there and compete again."
 
THE OPPONENT
-  After winning its season opener, Mercer has lost three straight matches and enters Saturday's contest at 1-3.
- Mercer senior Olivier Stuart is ranked 46th in the ITA's latest Division I Men's Singles rankings.
- The Blue Hose and Bears have met three times as DI opponents, with Mercer having taken all three prior matchups. The most recent meeting came in 2017, when PC lost both ends of a doubleheader in Macon.
 
LAST TIME OUT
- Presbyterian was edged 4-3 at Samford its last time out. Sophomores Oscar Alvarez and Jonathan Bedard each picked up their first singles victories of the season for PC, winning at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
