Series History | Last Matchup
The all-time series dates back to 1977-78 and is tied at 21-21, but PC has won the last three meetings. Last season, PC picked up a 70-54 win in Clinton (1/12/19) behind a double-double from Salina Virola and 15 points from Kacie Hall. The Blue Hose then swept the series with a 66-58 triumph in Spartanburg (2/19/19) with another double-double from Virola and 15 points from Trinity Johnson.

Scouting Report
USC Upstate looks to snap an eight-game losing streak. The Spartans previously had a three-game winning streak picking up home wins against SC State (58-47), Bob Jones (71-49) and Charleston Southern (70-53).

Senior guard Brianna Lewis returned after a five-game absence on Tuesday and contributed six points, five assists and a rebound in a 57-41 loss to Radford. Lewis (12.9 ppg) leads the Spartans' offense. Defensively, the Spartans are second in the Big South with 3.9 rejections per game with Barrett Herring accounting for a team-best 1.7 blocks per game.

USC Upstate ranks last in the Big South in offense (54.1 ppg), field goal percentage (.345), 3-pt field goal percentage (.234) and turnover margin (-3.3). Their defense ranks sixth, allowing 63.5 ppg to opponents.

Milestones Ahead
Kacie Hall needs four more points to reach 1000 for her career. The senior guard also needs 17 three pointers to move into a tie for 4th place in PC's record books with Janie Miles (2014-18) at 197.

Big South Rankings
Trinity Johnson is sixth in scoring (14.3), fourth in FG percentage (.422), seventh in assists (3.1), fifth in FT percentage (.733), second in steals (2.8), eighth in assist/turnover ratio (0.7), and 10th in minutes played (32.1). Jade Compton ranks 10th in rebounds (5.9). Kacie Hall ranks 11th in assists (2.6). Tionna Carter ranks 11th in blocked shots (0.6) while Bria Gibbs ranks 15th (0.6).

Double-Doubles
Both of Jade Compton's double-doubles this season have come against Big South opponents. The junior transfer posted a game-high 21 points/12 rebounds versus Longwood (Jan. 4) and most recently 13 points/10 rebounds at High Point (Jan. 21).

Defensive Minded
Presbyterian College ranks third in the Big South allowing opponents to just 57.9 points per game and a .382 field goal percentage. The Blue Hose are also fourth with 8.9 steals per game and boast a +0.8 turnover margin.

Big South Player of the Week
Trinity Johnson was named the Big South Player of the Week on December 9 after her 30-point performance against UNCW that saw the guard account for half of PC's offense. Johnson previously was named the Freshman of the Week during the 2018-19 season (March 10) after back-to-back games with 24 points.

New Faces
Head Coach Alaura Sharp added seven new players by the way of two transfers and five freshmen. Redshirt sophomore Briley Buckner has also returned from an injury that kept her from playing last season.
