ELON, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team was downed by the score of 4-0 against host Elon on Saturday afternoon at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center in Elon, N.C..

HOW IT HAPPENED
-  Elon picked up a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles to open the match before the Blue Hose picked up a 7-5 victory at No. 1 doubles.
- The hosts earned a 7-6 victory at No. 3 doubles to earn the doubles point.
- Elon picked up a straight set win at No. 6 singles to take a 2-0 lead, before a 6-1, 6-2 win gave the Phoenix a 3-0 advantage.
- The hosts earned the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 1 singles to pick up a 4-0 victory.  

NOTABLES
- Senior Beth Taylor earned a 7-5 result in No. 2 singles, however the match was called in the second set with Taylor leading 1-0.
- Junior Ella Rowley picked up a 6-4 result in the opening set, while leading 3-1 in the second set the match was called after Elon earned the victory.
 
UP NEXT
- Presbyterian opens its home slate on Sunday February 9 against Western Carolina with that match set to begin at 3 pm from Clinton.
