NOTES
Presbyterian College is in its 108th season of basketball in 2020-21 ... This season will go down as one of the more unique ones in history, with the COVID-19 Pandemic changing sports schedules around the country ... The Big South Conference created a 20-team round robin this season, with teams playing each other in back-to-back days ... The Blue Hose have already had two games canceled, and two conference games against Gardner-Webb postponed ... PC also picked up a game against Carver ...

PC heads to Charleston, S.C., Dec. 22, to take on The Citadel for its final warm-up before conference play begins ... The Blue Hose face the Bulldogs at 3 p.m., with the game airing on ESPN+, as well as on the radio at WPCC ...

The Blue Hose and Bulldogs have a long history that dates back to 1919, and have played 70 times ... The Citadel owns a 46-24 record, but PC has taken the last two of three games ... This will only be the fourth meeting since 1982 ...

South Carolina State rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half to get within two before PC used clutch free throws to hold the Bulldogs at Bay and take the 62-56 win in the last game for the Blue Hose ... For the third game in a row Rayshon Harrison led the team with 15 points ...

Next up for the Blue Hose is a break for the holidays, with conference season right around the corner ... PC hosts Radford in a two-game series Dec. 30-31, with game one at 5pm Wednesday, and game two at 3pm on Thursday ... Radford and PC have played 25 times, dating back to 2007 ... The Highlanders lead the series 18-7, and took the series last season with a 75-4 win in Clinton, and an 81-71 victory in Radford, Va. ...

Due to changes in NCAA transfer rules for this season, Trevon Reddish (CofC), and Brandon Younger are now eligible ... They both played against SC State and made an immediate impact with Reddish recording 10 points, and Younger pulling down a team-leading 14 rebounds ...

Brandon Younger's 14 rebounds against SC State were just four shy of the PC Division record of 18 ...

Youth will be a theme for the season ... Gone from last year is 66% of the scoring, 59% of the rebounding, and 66% of the assist getters ... The five returners, three of whom were started a majority of the games, accounted for 34% of the scoring. 32% of the rebounding, and 33.7% of the team's assists ...

In his first collegiate game, against Jacksonville, Rayshon Harrison scored 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds, which earned him the season's first Big South Freshman-of-the-Week honors ...

Last year, the Blue Hose were young with seven newcomers ... That pales in comparison to the 10 that the team sees this season ...
