Second Half Threes Lift Blue Hose Over Buccaneers

Clinton, S.C. - The Presbyterian College women's basketball team made nine three-pointers in the second half to pull away to defeat Charleston Southern, 76-53, on Saturday afternoon at the Templeton Center. Kacie Hall paced four Blue Hose in double-figures with a game-high 19 points including five-of-six shooting from behind the line. Ahlea Myers led the Bucs with 12 points.

Scoring The Game
Hall contributed nine points during a 13-0 third quarter run that saw the Blue Hose erase a four-point deficit and take a nine-point lead, 47-38, with 6:43 on the clock. Charleston Southern replied with an 8-0 run over the next four minutes to make it a one-point game, 47-46, following a layup from Myers at 2:54. A big three-pointer from Trinity Johnson fired up the crowd and restored a four-point cushion, 50-46, at 1:50. The Blue Hose would not relinquish the lead down the stretch, sinking five threes in the fourth quarter and outscoring the Bucs 20-4 over the final 10 minutes to win 76-53.

Kacie Hall shot 7-9 (.778) for the game and 5-6 (.833) from distance to score a game-high 19 points. Trinity Johnson scored 17 points and led the team with seven assists.
