Tionna Carter scored a collegiate-best 24 points to lead all scorers, while Jade Compton recorded her fourth double-double (11 pts, 13 rbs) and PC pulled away to defeat Gardner-Webb 64-49 on Tuesday.

Hampton has won the last three meetings to take a 3-1 series lead. PC's only win in the series was a 72-64 road victory on March 8, 1994.

Nylah Young recorded a double-double (21 pts, 11 rbs) to pace three Pirates in double-figures as Hampton picked up a 71-42 win at the Templeton Center on January 6. Alessia Capley scored a season-best 15 points and blocked three shots to lead PC.

DI Program Records/Milestones
Trinity Johnson has recorded a program-best 68 steals this season. Jade Compton scored a program-best 32 points on a program-best 12 made baskets against Longwood on February 8. Kacie Hall scored her 1,000th point against USC Upstate on January 25 to become the fifth player in PC's DI era to achieve this feat.

Kacie Hall has 197 career three pointers and can become just the fourth player in PC's all-time history to surpass 200.

Trinity Johnson recorded three steals against Gardner-Webb to bring her season total to a PC Division I record of 68. She broke Cortney Storey's previous best of 66 set in 2018. Johnson ranks 20th in the nation and 2nd in the Big South with 68 steals through 23 games (2.83 average).

Trinity Johnson leads the Big South and ranks 45th nationally with 141 free throw attempts on the year. She recently surpassed her freshman total (99 made) and is shooting 104-141 (.738) this season.

Big South Player of the Week

Trinity Johnson was named the Big South Player of the Week on December 9 after her 30-point performance against UNCW that saw the guard account for half of PC's offense. Johnson previously was named the Freshman of the Week during the 2018-19 season (March 10) after back-to-back games with 24 points.
