PC Faces N.C. A&T in Final Tune-Up Before Conference Play

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team returns to Clinton on Saturday afternoon for its final match prior to its Big South Conference opener. The Blue Hose are set to face North Carolina A&T at 3 pm, following the women's tennis team's home opener against Chattanooga, which is slated for 11 am.
 
MATCHDAY CENTRAL
MATCHUP: Presbyterian College (3-8) vs North Carolina A&T (1-6)
TIME: Saturday, February 29 – 3 pm
LOCATION: Templeton Tennis Courts (Clinton, S.C.)
 
THE OPPONENT
- North Carolina A&T enters the weekend 1-6, having picked up its first victory of the season last Sunday at King.
- Saturday is slated to be the first meeting between the Blue Hose and Aggies, with N.C. A&T set to join the Big South for the 2021-22 academic year.
- The two had been scheduled to play in Clinton back on Feb. 16, but the match was postponed due to rain.
 
LAST TIME OUT
- The Blue Hose lost 5-2 at Davidson in their most recent contest back on Wednesday.
- Oscar Alvarez and Teo Cariov won at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively, to tie the match at 2-2, but the Wildcats took control from there to claim victory.
- Alvarez tops PC with six singles victories, and is tied for second-most combined wins with nine. Max Benson's 12 combined victories lead the Blue Hose.
