Marshall Leads Blue Hose to Victory Over Howard in Season Opener

Clinton, S.C. - Sarah Marshall scored a game-high six goals to lead the Presbyterian College women's lacrosse team to a 19-5 win over Howard in the season opener on Friday afternoon. PC's Kara Diclemente also had a collegiate-best five points on four goals and an assist. Josie Mallory and Quai Skeete-Ridley each had two goals for Howard in the loss.

Scoring the Game
Ana Boothe opened the scoring for PC with a goal at 27:19 off a free position shot. After Howard's Mallory tied the game at 25:01, the Blue Hose rattled off goals from Kara DiClemente and Marshall to go back up 3-1. The Bison answered with a goal from Skeete-Ridley to make it 3-2. That was the last time the game was within a goal, as PC outscored Howard 7-1 before halftime to lead 10-3.

Presbyterian continued to pull away with nine additional goals in the second half. In total, nine different Blue Hose players recorded at least one goal in the game. Four freshmen also recorded their first points in the win as Abby Edmisten, Julian San Lucas, Tayler Hofmeister and Madison Foti all scored second-half goals.
