Blue Hose Fall at No. 19 Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. – A five-run first inning keyed #19 Clemson to a 12-0 win over the Presbyterian College baseball team on Tuesday night at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Zacchaeus Rasberry led the Blue Hose with a pair of hits including a double.

NOTABLES
- Senior Zacchaeus Rasberry paced the Blue Hose offense with a pair of hits including his team-high sixth double of the season.
- Rasberry is tied for the team lead with three multi-hit games on the year.
- Freshman Peyton Knight tossed a season-high 2.0 innings.
- Landon Shaw, Garrett Jones, Jimmy Marcelli and Kyle Decker each added base hits in the contest.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED 
- Clemson got off to a fast start with a five-run first inning which included a three-run home run in the frame.
- The Tigers added a run in the fourth off of an RBI single to extend their lead to 6-0 after four.
- The hosts added three in the fifth with a two-run home run in the frame to take a 9-0 advantage.
- Clemson added a three-run double in the seventh to lead the hosts to a 12-0 final on Tuesday night.
 
UP NEXT
The Blue Hose begin Big South play on Friday night as they travel to Winthrop to open a three-game series with the Eagles at 6 pm. The series continues on Saturday at 3 pm with the series finale set for 1 pm from Rock Hill. All three games will be broadcast on Fox Sports 98.3 FM.
