Trailing by 15 after the opening nine minutes of the second half, the Presbyterian College men's basketball team outscored Campbell, 18-3 to tie the game with under two to play, but the Camels came back with a basket in the closing seconds to come away with the 48-46 win Thursday evening at Gore Arena in Buies Creek, N.C.
Winston Hill made an impressive PC debut, coming away with a double-double off 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Scoring the Game
It was a close game early, with both teams playing solid defense, holding each other to just over 30% from the field for a stretch. That changed with PC leading 10-9, 11:52 to go in the half. The Campbell offense began clicking, with the Camels storming ahead off a 14-4 run, highlighted by three three-pointers, two of which came from Messiah Thompson, to take a 24-13v lead, 4:41 left in the first half.
Winston Hill helped the Blue Hose cut the lead to nine on two occasions, once off a layup at 3:21, and two free throws at 2:38, but the Camel Ricky Clemons connected on a lay-up at the minute and a half mark, to head to the locker room leading 28-17.

Campbell took its largest lead of the half at 15, the opening five minutes of the game, with PC able to cut the lead to 12 30 seconds later, off a
Trevon Reddish basket at free throw. The Camels returned the favor a couple of minutes later to take the lead back to 15, 43-28, 11:13 to go. The Blue Hose began to come alive, forcing four turnovers during a 7-0 run, sparked by an
Owen McCormack three-pointer at 10:11, to cut the lead to single digits, 35-43, 8:20 remaining. It was the start of an 18-3 run to the game, 46-46, 46-46, 1:41 on the clock. Highlighting the run was six from
Winston Hill, and solid defense that held Campbell to just over 20% from the field during the stretch. Cedric Henderson put the home team up top with 24 seconds to go, and PC drove down but was called for a charge. PC would get the ball back but a last second shot just missed, giving the Camels the 48-46 win. Trevon Reddish led the team four assists and 15 points, 10 of which came in the second half.
Winston Hill recorded a double-double in his PC debut with 12 points and a team-leading 12 rebounds. Cedric Henderson led the Camels with 12 points, with Joshua Lusane pacing the team with nine rebounds.

Stats of the Game
PC shot 23.1% in the first half but improved to 39.3% in the second to finish the game with 31.5%. The Blue Hose hit just four three-pointers, and went eight-of-13 from the line. Campbell was consistent from the field both halves, finishing with 45.5%. The Camels connected on five threes and were three-of-10 from the charity stripe. Rebounds were almost even with Campbell pulling down one more, 34-33. The Camels held the edge in turnovers, 18-13. PC scored all of its 15 points off Campbell turnovers in the second half.
