A Christian Wilson layup and follow-up free throw gave the Lancers their first double-digit lead at 10, 43-33, 5:54 to go. Leading again by 10, McCormack hit his second three of the night, while Reddish added another at 1:45 to make it a four-point contest. Younger's three-pointer with just over a minute to play ended a 9-0 run and cut the Longwood to just one, 46-45. PC fouled on the next possession to put Longwood's Wade on the line. He connected on both to make it a three-point game, 48-45, 30 seconds left. P was unable to convert down the other end and was forced to foul. Longwood hit one more at 10 seconds, taking the 49-45 win.
