Four Straight Defensive Player of the Week Awards
This season, a member of the Blue Hose's defensive unit claimed Big South Defensive Player of the Week honors for four straight weeks (Sept 7, 13, 20 and 27). Two weeks ago, sophomore goalkeeper
Aidan Montoure captured the award. Sancho earned league Defensive Player of the Week honors in each of the first three weeks of September.
Presbyterian's defense has conceded the fewest goals (12) in the Big South Conference this season.
Presbyterian – UNC Asheville Series History
Saturday's game will be the 14
th meeting between Presbyterian and UNC Asheville as NCAA Division I opponents. UNC Asheville holds a 7-3-3 series lead during that stretch which dates back to 2007. The Blue Hose defeated the Bulldogs, 3-2, in their last meeting which came at Presbyterian's Martin Stadium, April 13, 2021.
