Volleyball Hosts High Point for Saturday Matinee

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Volleyball team returns to Clinton on Saturday afternoon for an ESPN+ matchup with High Point. The match is set for a 2 p.m. first serve from the Templeton Center.

Last Time Out...
5th year senior Allie Wright totaled her 383rd career block on Tuesday as the Presbyterian College volleyball team suffered a three-set defeat against N.C. A&T (25-17, 25-19, 25-20) at Moore Gymnasium. Freshman Rylee Moorhead led the Blue Hose offense with nine kills and 12 digs in the setback.

Cooke Triple-Doubles...
Senior Erin Cooke has totaled five triple-doubles on the season which is currently leading all NCAA DI volleyball players. Cooke's last triple-double came on Friday night against Radford with 10 kills, 20 assists, and 18 digs in the four-set victory. In her five triple-doubles this season, Cooke is averaging 14 kills, 18 assists, and 15 digs per match.

The Opponent...
High Point enters the weekend at 14-5 and a perfect 6-0 in league play as the Panthers visit CSU before making the trek to Clinton on Saturday. Dylan Maberry leads the Panther offense with 239 kills and Sydney Palazzolo is second on the team with 170 kills. Gabrielle Idlebird leads the Panthers with 63 blocks and Jenny Wessling is pacing HPU with 278 digs on the defensive side.

Conference Leaders
The Blue Hose sits atop the conference averaging 2.00 service aces per set this season. PC is led by Rylee Moorhead who leads the team with 28 aces, while Allie Wright has 21 service aces, and Erin Cooke has 20.

Presbyterian also ranks third in the conference in blocks per set with 2.05/set. Sophomore Hailey Grocholski has a team-high 59 blocks, while Wright has recorded 58blocks. Cooke is third on the team with 41 blocks.

As a team, PC has held opponents to a .150 hitting percentage on the season which is best in the Big South Conference.
