Four Straight Defensive Player of the Week Awards
A member of the Blue Hose's defensive unit claimed Big South Defensive Player of the Week honors for four straight weeks (Sept 7, 13, 20 and 27). Two weeks ago, sophomore goalkeeper
Aidan Montoure captured the award. Sancho earned league Defensive Player of the Week honors in each of the three weeks of September.
Presbyterian's defense has conceded the fewest goals in the Big South Conference this season with a league-low 13 goals allowed.
Presbyterian - Longwood Series History
Saturday's game will be the 12
th meeting between Presbyterian and Longwood as NCAA Division I opponents. Presbyterian holds a 7-3-1 series advantage including going 5-0-1 over their last six meeting. The two teams tied, 0-0, in their most recent game which came at Presbyterian's Martin Stadium, February 28, 2021. Presbyterian topped Longwood, 2-1, in overtime in their last meeting at Longwood, October 5, 2019.
