Blue Hose Head to CSU on Tuesday Night

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College Volleyball team continues its road swing on Tuesday night with a 6 p.m. match against Charleston Southern from Buccaneer Fieldhouse. The match will be shown on ESPN+ as PC looks for a season sweep from the Bucs after winning a four-set match in Clinton on October 5th.

Last Time Out
The Presbyterian College volleyball team withstood a late charge from the host UNC Asheville on Saturday at the Justice Center earning a five-set victory (25-6, 20-25, 14-25, 26-24,15-12) over the Bulldogs. Rylee Moorhead and Cydni Miller led the attack for PC with 15 kills apiece on Saturday.

Last Matchup vs CSU
Led by the offensive attack of senior Erin Cooke and freshman Rylee Moorhead, the Presbyterian College volleyball team defeated Charleston Southern (25-20, 15-25, 25-16, 25-15) at the Templeton Center on October 5th. Cooke totaled 11 kills, 18 assists, and eight digs, while Moorhead recorded 11 kills, five digs, and a .435 hitting percentage in the win.

Cooke Triple-Doubles...
Senior Erin Cooke has totaled five triple-doubles on the season which is currently tied for the lead amongst all NCAA DI volleyball players. Cooke's last triple-double came on Friday night against Radford with 10 kills, 20 assists, and 18 digs in the four-set victory. In her five triple-doubles this season, Cooke is averaging 14 kills, 18 assists, and 15 digs per match.

The Opponent...
Charleston Southern enters Tuesday's match at 7-13 following a three-set defeat against Upstate on Saturday. Peyton Thompson leads all players in the Big South with 3.59 kills/set this season. Emma Minnick ranks second in the conference averaging 9.19 assists/set. Ashleigh Holweger leads the Bucs with 277 digs and Paige Reagor tops CSU with 49 blocks. In the Oct. 5 matchup in Clinton, Thompson led the Bucs attack with 18 kills, while Minnick totaled 38 helpers in a four-set defeat to the Blue Hose.

Conference Leaders
The Blue Hose sits second in the conference averaging 1.88 service aces per set this season. Freshman Rylee Moorhead leads the team with 32 service aces, while Allie Wright has totaled 23 and senior Erin Cooke has 22 on the season. Moorhead also is 35th in the nation with her 32 aces this season as she leads the league with a 0.42 aces/set line.

As a team, PC has held opponents to a .154 hitting percentage on the season which is best in the Big South Conference. The Blue Hose also rank 17th nationally allowing the .154 clip from opponents.
