CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team fell on Tuesday to host Charleston Southern 3-0 (24-26, 21-25, 20-25) at Buccaneer Fieldhouse. The Blue Hose were led offensively by Erin Cooke with nine kills and Rylee Moorhead added eight kills in the defeat.

Notables
- Cooke led the Blue Hose offense with nine kills as she also added a team-high 13 assists. She also added four blocks in the contest which included a pair of solo blocks.
- Moorhead added eight kills as she chipped in 14 digs and a pair of blocks on the defensive side for PC.
- Freshman Blair Jones saw action for the second time this season on Tuesday and added her first four digs of her collegiate career.
- Fifth-year senior Allie Wright totaled four kills and a .300 hitting percentage for PC while adding a pair of blocks as one of those was a solo block.
How it Happened
- Both teams went back-and-forth in the opening set with three early ties before a 6-2 spurt from the Bucs gave them a 12-8 advantage and forced a PC timeout. CSU got it out to a five-point advantage at 17-12 before PC battled back to cut it to a tie set at 20 apiece on the heels of an 8-3 run. Charleston Southern had a quick 3-1 run before PC battled back to even at 24 but the Bucs picked up back-to-back kills to take set one 26-24.
- Presbyterian got out to a hot start at 3-0 before a 10-3 run from the Buccaneers forced PC into a timeout as the Blue Hose trailed 10-6. CSU and PC went back and forth in the set as Charleston Southern maintained a slim lead throughout the middle portion of the set before pulling away late for a 25-21 set two victory.
- PC jumped out to an early 7-3 lead in the third set before the hosts scored six of the next seven points to take a 9-8 lead and force Presbyterian to spend a timeout. CSU used a 6-3 burst to take a 15-11 advantage and have PC spend its second timeout of the set. The Blue Hose cut it to three, 18-15 before the Bucs pulled away late with a 25-20 set three win to sweep PC on Tuesday night.
