Volleyball Welcomes CSU for Tuesday Night Match

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team returns to Clinton on Tuesday night in a midweek conference matchup with Charleston Southern from the Templeton Center. The match with the Bucs is set to begin at 6 p.m.

Last Time Out...
Senior Erin Cooke was one of three players to record at least 10 kills on Saturday afternoon but the Presbyterian College volleyball team was unable to get past Gardner-Webb falling (22-25,22-25,25-23,21-25) at Paul Porter Arena. Cooke totaled 11 kills, 17 assists, and nine digs in the setback. Freshman Rylee Moorehead recorded 11 kills and Paige Cairns added 10 to the PC attack.

Cooke Triple-Doubles...
Senior Erin Cooke has totaled four triple-doubles on the season which is currently tied for the top spot in the nation with Sarah Ciszek from Sacred Heart. Cooke recorded her most recent triple-double against Winthrop with 16 kills, 15 assists and 10 digs.

League-Leading Libero...
PC libero sophomore Anna Hewitt leads the league with 257 digs (4.85/set) through the Blue Hose first 14 contests. Hewitt has had 20+ digs in seven matches including a career-high 28 against Winthrop last weekend.

The Opponents...
Charleston Southern comes into Tuesday's match with a record of 5-9 following a three-set loss to Winthrop on Saturday afternoon.
The Bucs are led offensively by Peyton Thompson who has totaled 170 kills in 14 matches this season. Emma Minnick leads CSU with 427 assists on the year (8.9/set). On the defensive side, Ashleigh Holweger leads the Bucs with 190 digs and Paige Reagor leads the defense with 48 blocks.

Conference Leaders
- The Blue Hose sit atop the conference averaging 2.06 service aces per set through 14 contests this season. PC is led by Rylee Moorhead who leads the team with 26 aces, while Allie Wright has 20 service aces, and Erin Cooke has 19. PC ranks eighth in the nation with that aces per set statistic.
- Presbyterian also ranks fourth in the conference in blocks with just over two per set. Sophomore Hailey Grocholski has a team-high 54 blocks, while Wright has recorded 45 blocks. Cooke is third on the team with 36 blocks.
- As a team, PC has held opponents to a .148 hitting percentage on the season which is best in the Big South and ranks 16th nationally.
