CLINTON, S.C. – Behind four players in double figures, the Presbyterian College women's basketball team picked up a 63-55 victory on Tuesday night over ETSU at the Templeton Center.
PC was led by sophomore Maleia Bracone and junior Nyah Willis with 13 points apiece. Freshman Paige Kindseth chipped in with a career-high 11 points off the bench and senior Bryanna Brady has 10 points to round out the double-figure scorers.

Coach Sharp's Thoughts
"Our tempo slowed down at times tonight but our second quarter defense holding them to two points is what won us the game tonight. It was a back-and-forth contest tonight and I didn't think we lost our composure and I was proud of that with having some different players step up and contribute to a team victory."
Scoring the Game
- PC got out to the early 4-0 edge and led before the Bucs narrowed it to one at 6-5 with 6:10 to play in the first quarter. After a Paige Kindseth bucket, ETSU went on a 9-0 run to jump out to a 14-8 edge with 3:21 to play in the first. PC narrowed the margin to two, 14-12 before a 5-0 burst from the Bucs gave them a 19-12 edge, the largest lead of the first. PC cut into it once again with a Nyah Willis three and Maleia Bracone buried one from half-court to cut it to one, 19-18 ETSU after a quarter.
- The Blue Hose carried the momentum into the second quarter with a 10-0 run to begin the second quarter with Brady scoring five early points to give PC a 28-19 edge. After ETSU's lone bucket in the quarter PC closed on a 6-0 run to take a 34-21 lead to intermission.
- ETSU opened the second half on a 7-4 run to cut the Blue Hose lead to 10, 38-28 with 8:04 to play in the stanza. PC quickly answered with a 7-0 run to push it back to a 17-point advantage at 45-28 with 3:47 to play. The teams traded free throws down the stretch to give the Blue Hose a 13-point lead at 49-36 after three.
- The Bucs began the fourth on an 8-2 run that cut the game to seven, 51-44 with 6:10 to play in the fourth. Both teams traded baskets to keep the lead at 55-48 with 4:31 to play. PC extended the lead to 11, 59-48 with a 4-0 burst capped by a Bracone three. After a Bucs three, the Blue Hose connected on four free throws late to push it to 12 before the Bucs cut it to eight as a final of 63-55.

- Maleia Bracone and Nyah Willis led the attack on Tuesday with 13 points apiece. Bracone was 5-10 from the floor while adding a pair of three-pointers. Willis was 4-7 from the field and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds and she also added a team-high four assists. Paige Kindseth had a career-high 11 points on 5-6 shooting, while Bryanna Brady added 10 points. Kaia Upton led the Bucs with 16 points on 6-14 shooting including a pair of threes. ETSU had a pair of players pull down four rebounds to lead a balanced attack. Upton distributed a team-high four helpers.
Stats of the Game
- PC posted a 54.8% shooting performance (23-of-42) while holding the Bucs to 36.4% (20-of-55). Both teams connected on five three-pointers on Tuesday night. PC was 12-of-20 from the line as ETSU was just 10-of-19 from the charity stripe. Presbyterian had a 37-27 edge in the rebounding battle. PC was able to control the paint in the win with a 34-26 edge over ETSU.

- Freshman Paige Kindseth totaled a career-high 11 points and eight rebounds in the win.
- Sophomore Maleia Bracone pulled down a season-high seven rebounds.
- It was PC's second consecutive contest shooting 50% or higher from the floor at 54.8 on Tuesday. The Blue Hose posted a 50% performance on Saturday against St. Thomas.
- Bryanna Brady posted her second double-figure scoring performance as a Blue Hose with 10 points in her first start with PC.
- Nyah Willis is the first Blue Hose player to lead the team in points (13), rebounds (9), and assists (4) in the same game since Trinity Johnson did it against USC Upstate on January 9, 2021.
- PC held the Bucs to two points in the second quarter and it matches the fewest points allowed in a quarter for the Blue Hose since November 16, 2018. PC held Wofford to two points in the first quarter during that game.
