Notes

Last Time Out...
PC split its first road series of the season, dropping a five-setter and claiming a four-set win at Gardner-Webb. The four-set win over the Runnin' Bulldogs on Sunday was the first for the Blue Hose after dropping the first set since Sept. 14, 2019, when they recovered from losing the first set to beat NC Central in four.

Double-Double Trio...
The Blue Hose got their first two double-doubles of the season on Saturday when both Erin Cooke (14 kills, 14 assists) and Trinity Williams (10 kills, 15 digs) picked up double-doubles against GWU. The following day, both Cooke (19 kills, 18 assists) and Williams (13 kills, 21 digs) posted double-doubles again, and Sierra Jones (24 assists, 14 digs) added her first of the season. Cooke's 19 kills and Williams' 21 digs were both career highs.

Freshmen Stepping Up...
PC has played five freshmen, four true and one redshirt, so far this season. Anna Hewitt has seized the libero role, and ranks third in the Big South in total digs (65) and fourth in digs/set (4.1). Jordan McAda is coming off of a career-high 12 kills on a career-best .474 hitting percentage and is hitting a team-best .300 for the season.

Scouting the Highlanders...
Radford began the season with a sweep of Gardner-Webb, then lost both contests to Charleston Southern last weekend. Taylor O'Neal and Morgan Lawson top the Highlanders with 2.4 kills/set, while Kennedi Johnson is tied for second in the Big South, averaging 1.3 blocks/set. The two teams split the 2019 season series, with the home team earning a sweep each time. PC's victory snapped a nine-match skid in the series against the Highlanders.
