NOTES
Presbyterian College is in its 108th season of basketball in 2020-21 ... This season will go down as one of the more unique ones in history, with the COVID-19 Pandemic changing sports schedules around the country ... The Big South Conference created a 20-team round robin this season, with teams playing each other in back-to-back days ... The Blue Hose had eight games canceled, and three conference series against Gardner-Webb, UNC Asheville, and USC Upstate postponed ... PC did  pick up a game against Carver Dec. 14 ...

The Blue Hose are on the road for a two-game series at Hampton ... A very short series, the two teams played for the first time last season, with PC taking the first meeting, 85-70, and the Pirates winning game two, 87-81 ...

Hampton is 8-9 overall and 7-5 in the Big South ... Davion Warren is tops on the team and the league in scoring  with 22.1 points per game ... He also leads in rebounding with 6.5 per game  ... The Pirates are averaging 70.5 points, 36.0 rebounds, and 12.4 assists per game

Rayshon Harrison leads PC with 15.7 points per game, with Winston Hill pacing the team in rebounds with 6.2 a game ... The Blue Hose are averaging 62.6 points, 32.6 rebounds, and 10.9 assists per game ...

PC is coming off a two-game series loss at Gardner-Webb in its last Big South series ...

Game One Recap (GWU 59, PC 53)
The Blue Hose cut a double-digit lead to just five twice in the final 30 seconds but the Runnin' Bulldogs hit clutch free throws on each occasion to quell the rally, as Gardner-Webb survived for a 59-53 win over PC in game one on Thursday at Paul Porter Arena ... Rayshon Harrison led PC with 20 points and nine rebounds. ...

Game Two Recap (GWU 91, PCC 64)
Gardner-Webb shot over 70% much of the second half to pull away from the Blue Hose and take the 91-64 win in game two in Boiling Springs ... Trevon Reddish paced PC with 17 points ...

Due to changes in NCAA transfer rules for this season, Trevon Reddish (CofC), and Brandon Younger (UNCC) became eligible two games into the season ... Winston Hill (FMU) became eligible as well, after six games, and made an immediate impact with a double-double in his PC debut (12 pts., 12 rbds) ...

With 10 players gone from last season and just four returners, youth is a theme for the season ... Gone from last year is 85% of the scoring, 76% of the rebounding, and 79% of the assist getters ...

The Blue Hose youth are stepping up ... After 16 games, newcomers are accounting for four of the top five scorers, top five three-point shooters, four of five rebounders, assists, and steals-getters ...

Rayshon Harrison has been honored as Big South Freshman of the week five times this season ... He is the leading freshman in the conference in several categories, including scoring (15.7), rebounding (5.4), FG pct. (.395), steals (1.6), and minutes played (33.3) ... He leads the team in scoring, defensive rebounds, and steals ... If the season ended today, he'd finish fourth in the PC Division I record book in scoring average ...

The Blue Hose series against Charleston Southern moved from Feb. 18-19, to Feb. 24-25 ... PC will now travel to UNC Asheville Feb. 18-19 ... Presbyterian will also now host USC Upstate, Feb. 15 ...

PC holds a one-game advantage over the Spartans in the overall series, 15-14, but it was USC Upstate that took the last win, 77-74, in the lone meeting last season ... The Blue Hose have won the last three of five meetings ...

UNC Asheville leads PC, 23-11, but the Blue Hose have owned the series as of late, earning the win the last four of five games ... After losing four in a row, Asheville won the last meeting, 75-64, however ...
