Volleyball Travels to Campbell for Big South Series

CLINTON, S.C. – Following its four-match homestand, the Presbyterian College volleyball team hits the road to begin a four-match road trip with a series at Campbell on Thursday and Friday.

Last Time Out...
Presbyterian finished out its four-match homestand with a pair of setbacks at the hands of USC Upstate last week. The Blue Hose took a tight first set in the series opener, but the Spartans rallied to win the next three, and the match. Upstate kept the momentum going the next night, topping PC in three sets.

Really Cook(e)in'...
With her two double-doubles in last week's series against USC Upstate, Erin Cooke extended her streak of consecutive double-doubles to eight in a row. The junior collected 12 kills and 14 assists in the series opener, then followed that up with 13 kills and 16 assists the next night against the Spartans. Cooke's streak also includes one triple-double, the sixth of her PC career, as she racked up 11 kills, 22 assists and 21 digs against UNC Asheville.

Leading the League...
Entering this week's series, Presbyterian boasts Big South leaders in multiple categories. Freshman libero Anna Hewitt tops the league in total digs with 206, while senior middle blocker Allie Wright has registered a league-leading 47 total blocks this season, and sits atop the conference with 38 block assists.

Scouting the Camels...
Campbell enters this week's series 7-3, having lost three of its last five after beginning the season 5-0. Most recently, the Camels split a series at Gardner-Webb, the team's third straight series split. Campbell ranks as the third-best hitting team in the big South at .223, and boasts three of the top-10 in kills/set, in league-leader Lailah Green (3.7/set), Chloe Cook (2.9/set, 8th) and Sarah Colla (2.8/set, 9th). The Blue Hose knocked off Campbell in four sets in the only meeting between the two programs in 2019.
