PC Hosts Davidson on Saturday

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team begins a busy stretch of matches on Saturday welcoming in Davidson to the Templeton Tennis Courts for a 2 p.m. match. The Blue Hose are slated to play six matches over the course of the next week.

MATCHUP: Davidson (4-7) vs Presbyterian (4-3)
TIME: Saturday March 20, 1 pm

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
- Davidson enters Saturday's match with a 4-7 record following a 4-3 victory over College of Charleston in its most recent action.
- Davidson also has wins against Campbell, N.C. A&T and The Citadel.
- Alejandro Solares leads the Wildcats in singles action with six wins as he has spent time at No. 3-6 singles positions. Sam Kavarana has five singles wins so far in 2021.
- Solares and Maxwell Kachkarov lead Davidson in doubles with a 6-4 record so far this season.
- Davidson leads the all-time series against the Blue Hose winning seven of 10 meetings all-time as the Wildcats earned a 5-2 win over PC last February.

BUSY SCHEDULE COMING
- Presbyterian begins its busiest stretch of the season on Saturday playing five different teams in six matches over the next week.
- Following Saturday's match with the Wildcats, the Blue Hose welcome in Campbell for a Tuesday afternoon match before traveling the next day to Asheville for a second straight league match.
- PC wraps up the stretch on the road Friday afternoon at Georgia State before returning home on Saturday, March 27 for a doubleheader against Belmont Abbey.

LAST TIME OUT
-  Junior Max Benson earned a three-set victory on Tuesday afternoon as the Presbyterian College men's tennis team fell by the count of 6-1 against  #15 N.C. State at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.  
- Tuesday's match marked the second consecutive season PC has faced #15 in the ITA rankings as the Blue Hose dropped a 7-0 decision to South Carolina last February.

UP NEXT
- PC stays at home for a midweek battle with Campbell on Tuesday, March 23 at 2 pm from the Templeton Tennis Courts.
