PC Takes The Court For Back-to-Back Matches at Home

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team hits the court for a busy weekend beginning on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. when they welcome in College of Charleston. The Blue Hose conclude the weekend with a 1 p.m. first serve against The Citadel. Both matches will be played at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
- College of Charleston enters Saturday's match with a 3-1 record following a 7-0 victory over North Greenville in its last action.  
- The Cougars also have posted victories against NC A&T and Coker with their lone setback coming against Gardner-Webb.
- CofC is led in singles by Ben Husum and Robby Krick who both are a perfect 3-0 to begin the spring. Guido Aregntini and Johnny Wang check in with 3-1 records in their singles action.  
- College of Charleston has taken five of the six meetings from Presbyterian in the DI era with the most recent meeting coming during the 2016 season as the Cougars picked up the 6-1 victory.
 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
- The Citadel comes into the weekend with a 4-5 record as it is set to play S.C. State on Saturday before visiting the Blue Hose Sunday afternoon.  
- Josiah Schainblatt has earned four singles wins so far during the spring. Will Graham has picked up three wins all coming at the No. 1 singles position.
- The Blue Hose have taken five of the seven prior meetings over the Bulldogs with the most recent meeting being a 7-0 win over The Citadel in 2015.
 
LAST TIME OUT
- The Presbyterian College men's tennis team's match slated for Wednesday afternoon at Furman has been postponed. The Blue Hose and Paladins will look to try and reschedule the match later in the season.
- In the Blue Hose last on court action, Freshman Javier Matos playing at No. 6 singles earned a three-set comeback victory to clinch the match for the Presbyterian College men's tennis team over Chattanooga by the score of 4-3 at the Templeton Tennis Courts on Sunday.
- Matos and McKinney improved to 2-0 in singles action. Babic and Benson at No.1 doubles also pushed their records out to 2-0.
 
UP NEXT
- Following Sunday's match, Presbyterian returns to the courts on Friday, March 12 at 2 p.m. against Emmanuel.
