NOTABLES
- Greene allowed an unearned run in her complete game effort in the opener, and struck out eight. Her eight strikeouts moved her over 200 for her collegiate career, making her the sixth Blue Hose to surpass 200 strikeouts in the program's DI era (since 2008).
- Haselden carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning and yielded just one hit for the afternoon as she tossed the sixth shutout of her PC career, moving her into fourth in the team's DI record book.
- All three of Presbyterian's runs in game two came via the long ball, as Layna Johnson hit her first of the year, Jaiden Tweed launched her third and Kiley Kross mashed her team-leading fourth of the campaign. The three home runs tied for fourth-most by the Blue Hose in a single game in the DI era.
- Johnson's home run was part of a team-high three-hit effort for the day. Johnson, Rebecca Clark and Jillian Hewes each had a multi-hit game.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Western Carolina wasted little time in scoring the first run in the opener, plating a run in the top of the first.
- After a one-out single in the second, Greene retired 12 Catamounts in a row.
- In the third, Johnson led off with a double and eventually scored the tying run on a Tweed sacrifice fly.
- Clark opened the fourth with a base hit, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, then scored on a Courtney White single right back up the middle to give the Blue Hose a 2-1 edge.
- WCU put two aboard in the sixth and one on in the seventh, but Greene worked out of it both times to preserve the lead and snap the Catamounts' 11-game winning streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2
- Game two remained scoreless until the bottom of the fifth. With one out, Johnson homered to left to break the deadlock, and one out later, Tweed followed suit with a solo blast of her own.
- WCU had little in the way of threats in game two, but had two on with two outs in the sixth when Tweed took away a hit with a shoestring grab on a line drive to left-center field.
- Kross then led off the bottom of the sixth with her team-leading fourth long ball of the season.

UP NEXT
