Men's Tennis Picks Up 4-3 Victory Over Lancers

FARMVILLE, Va.  – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team opened its Virginia road trip on Friday with a 4-3 victory over Longwood at Lancer Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- PC got on the board first in doubles as Sebastian Dominguez and Daniel Stenger earned a 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles before the Blue Hose clinched the doubles point at No. 3 doubles with a 6-4 win.
- Max Benson and Georgije Babic led at No. 1 doubles 5-4 before the match was called after PC had already clinched the doubles point.
- Dominguez extended the Blue Hose lead to 2-0 with a straight-set victory at No. 2 singles. The Blue Hose extended the lead to 3-0 when Matos earned a 6-0, 6-4 victory.
- Nicholas McKinney clinched the match for PC with a straight-set win at No. 4 singles by the score of 6-3, 6-2. 
Longwood evened the match at one with a straight-set victory at No. 2 singles.
- The Lancers earned three wins in three-set matches after PC clinched the match to make it a 4-3 final in Farmville.

NOTABLES
- McKinney has a five match win streak in singles as he improved to 9-1 overall on Friday.

- PC has a quick turnaround as the Blue Hose are back in action at 1 p.m. on Saturday traveling to take on Radford in their final regular season match of the Big South season.
