Four-Run Seventh Downs Blue Hose on Tuesday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team was unable to overcome a four-run seventh from UNC Asheville as the host Bulldogs earned a 6-2 victory on Tuesday night at Greenwood Baseball Field. Sophomore Alex Flood made the start on Tuesday for PC and tossed 6.0 no-hit innings but didn't factor into the decision.

NOTABLES
- Flood began the game tossing 6.0 no-hit innings as he totaled five strikeouts over his 6.1 inning outing on Tuesday. 
- The Lawrenceville, Ga. native totaled a career-high 6.1 innings and five strikeouts.
- Sean Klein and Zacchaeus Rasberry each extended their hit streaks to five in a row on Tuesday.
- Rasberry has a .450 (9-for-20) average over his last five games with three extra-base hits and three stolen bases. The fifth-year senior tied the DI program record with his 35th career stolen base which occurred in the fifth inning.
- Eric Toth extended his reached base streak to eight in a row with his third-inning RBI single. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 
- PC struck first in the third inning with an RBI single from Toth to allow Landon Shaw to score and give the Blue Hose the 1-0 lead.
- Klein came into score in the fourth off of a Bulldog error to extend the lead to 2-0.
- In the seventh, Asheville plated four runs with a bases-clearing double and an RBI single to jump out to a 4-2 lead. 
- The Bulldogs tacked on a pair of runs via a two-run home run in the eighth to lead the hosts to a 6-2 win over PC.

- The Blue Hose travel to USC Upstate beginning on Friday, April 30 to open a three-game set with the Spartans at 6 p.m. on ESPN+. The two teams are then slated to play a twin bill on Saturday, May 1 at 2 p.m...
