Women's Soccer Records Shutout on Senior Night

Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's soccer team wrapped up the 2021 regular season slate on Thursday with a 2-0 victory over UNC Asheville at Martin Stadium. The Blue Hose had goals from Sydni Dachs and Morgan Hutchison in the win.

How It Happened

- Both teams were held off the scoresheet until the 72nd minute when senior Kristen Bane delivered a free-kick into the box that Dachs headed home to give the Blue Hose a 1-0 lead.
- In the 81st minute, Hutchison went buzzing down the left side of the field and weaved through Bulldog defenders to connect on her third goal of the spring to give PC the 2-0 senior day win.

By the Numbers
- PC held a slim 12-11 shot advantage over UNC Asheville with a 3-2 edge in shots on frame.
- The Blue Hose held a commanding 11-2 edge in corner kicks.
- Hutchison led the way with five shots, while Dachs and Kendra Davis each had two shots in the contest.  
- Megan Serrano recorded a pair of saves in Thursday's victory.
 
Notables

- Hutchison tied Kori Lawrence for the team lead with her third goal of the spring on Thursday night.
- PC finished the spring with a perfect 4-0 record at home overall.
