Men's Tennis Picks Up 4-1 Senior Day Victory

CLINTON, S.C.  – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team wrapped up the regular season on Friday afternoon with a 4-1 senior day victory over Coastal Carolina at the Templeton Tennis Courts. Prior to Friday's match, the Blue Hose honored seniors Alberto Conde and Daniel Stenger.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Coastal Carolina got out to the early lead on Friday with a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles before clinching the doubles point with a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles to earn the 1-0 lead.
- Javier Matos and Nicholas McKinney had a 5-4 lead in the No. 3 doubles match before it was called due to Coastal Carolina clinching the doubles point. 
- Stenger evened the match at one with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles before Max Benson pushed the Blue Hose out in front as his No. 1 singles match was called in the second set as the Chanticleers had to retire from the match.
- Matos gave the Blue Hose a 3-1 lead with a straight-set victory at No. 6 singles.
- The Blue Hose clinched the match as McKinney earned a straight-set victory to give PC a 4-1 match victory on Friday afternoon.

NOTABLES
- With his win at No. 4, McKinney pushed his singles win streak up to seven in a row.
- PC broke a six match skid against Coastal Carolina with the victory.
