Presbyterian and High Point Battled to a Draw

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose battled the defending Big South Champions the High Point Panthers to a 0-0 double overtime draw on the road.

"It was great to get a point on the road against a good High Point team," Presbyterian coach Jonathan Potter said. "Our team is unbeaten in their last six games. I was very pleased with our effort. We have a resilient group of players."
 
SHOTS
Presbyterian finished the game with seven shots. Mamadu Bah led the Blue Hose with two shots. Bah nearly scored the game-winning goal when his shot from 18 yards out from the left side of the box went just outside the right post in the 101st minute.
 
Nokkvi Nokkvason, Ndrin Maloku, Jaume Rubio, Luke Gladden and Marco Filous contributed a shot apiece to Presbyterian's offensive attack.


STOUT DEFENSE
Presbyterian's defense enjoyed another strong performance while recording their fourth shutout of the season. Blue Hose goalkeeper Aidan Montoure recorded a season-high five saves while posting his third shutout of the season.
 
The Blue Hose have only conceded one goal in their last 334 minutes of action.
 
COACH POTTER ON THE TEAM'S DEFENSE
"It was great to record a clean sheet against a good attacking team," Potter said. "Our guys are buying into our team defense. It is always great to get a clean sheet on the road in conference play."
 
UP NEXT
The Blue Hose return home to Martin Stadium to play Campbell in their Big South home opener next Saturday, October 2 at 4 p.m.
