Scouting the Gamecocks | Series History
Tuesday's match will be the 7th meeting between the Blue Hose and Gamecocks in a series that dates back to 1978. The Gamecocks won both matches in 1978, but the Blue Hose did earn a result in just their second season in Division I, tying South Carolina, 1-1 in 2008. Presbyterian put up two goals in their 4-2 defeat in the most recent match in 2019.

Tony Annan is in his 1st season at the helm of South Carolina with a record of 1-2.

Last Time Out
The Blue Hose collected their first win of the season behind the lone goal scored by Jaume Rubio in the 51st minute. Presbyterian out-shot VMI, 13-5, with a 7-3 shots on goal advantage. They also had all four corner kicks in the match.

Welcome Back!
PC returns 25 members from last year's squad that went 4-4-2 overall and 2-4-2 in conference play. Notable returnees include last season's leading scorer Mamadu Bah, who had four goals in the spring season. Also returning are redshirt-junior Cesar Sancho and sophomore Nokkvi Nokkvason who will play as Presbyterian's captains.

New Kids on the Pitch
Presbyterian welcomes 8 new faces to this season's roster, six of which are transfers. Nile Nguidjol, Ndrin Maloku, Niklas Hoener, Juan Alonso Munoz, Shae Wirt, and Ben Kaindu make up the list that have come over from other schools, while Alex Guzman and Gabriel Prokes are true freshmen.
