The Blue Hose began the dual match season with a 5-2 win over Kennesaw State at the Templeton Tennis Courts last Saturday, January 15. Presbyterian posted victories at number one (
Max Benson,
Dusan Milanovic) and two doubles (
Nicholas McKinney,
Sebastian Dominguez) to capture the doubles point. Singles wins by
Javier Matos,
Georgije Babic, Dominguez, and Milanovic clinched the overall victory for the Blue Hose.
BIG SOUTH WEEKLY HONORS
After their performance in Presbyterian's season-opening win over Kennesaw State last Saturday, the Blue Hose swept the Big South Conference men's tennis weekly awards. Dominguez was named Big South Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his career. While Milanovic claimed the league's Freshman of the Week award.

Dominguez is the tenth player in the program's history to earn Big South Player of the Week honors. Milanovic is the 16
th player in school history to capture the Big South Freshman of the Week award.

SCOUTING SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS
Friday's match against Presbyterian marks the Gamecocks' first dual match of the season. South Carolina is ranked No. 12 in the latest ITA rankings. Last season, South Carolina won 17 matches while reaching the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

Three members of the South Carolina team appear in the ITA singles rankings: Daniel Rodrigues is ranked 29th, Toby Samuel is ranked 50th and Beau Pelletier is ranked 122
nd.

SCOUTING THE CITADEL BULLDOGS
Friday's match against The Citadel will be the season-opening match for the Bulldogs. The Citadel finished last season with a 5-19 record. Senior Josiah Schainblatt led the Bulldogs with six singles wins last year.
