BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose men's golf team concluded their fall tournament schedule with today's final round at the Elon Phoenix Invitational. Presbyterian shot an even par round of 284 to finish in 14
th place with a three-round score of 868 (+16).
Elon won the tournament with a three-round score of 824 (-28). Elon's Garrett Risner captured the tournament's individual championship with a three-round score of 199 (-14).
Jack Wofford led the Blue Hose while finishing tied for 41
st place with a three-round score of 216 (+3). In today's final round, Wofford shot a career low round of 64.
Notables
- Wofford collected eight birdies and nine pars including a bogey-free final nine holes on his way to his career-low round of 64.
- Columb Knight finished tied for 48th place after shooting an even-par final round of 71. He eagled the par-five 506-yard 17th hole. His final round consisted of one eagle, three birdies, and 11 pars. Knight had a three-round score of 217.
- Lleyton Renner finished 62nd after shooting a final round of 77 for a three-day total of 220. Renner collected one birdie and 10 pars in his final round.
- Thomas Hollingsworth finished tied for 72nd after a shooting 75 today giving him a three-round total of 224. Hollingsworth had two birdies and 12 pars on his final round.
- Jimmy McCollum shot 74 in his third round as he finished tied for 78th place with a three-round score of 226. In his final round, he had one birdie and 13 pars.
