CLINTON, S.C. – – The Presbyterian Blue Hose women's soccer team (0-12-3, BSC: 0-6-1) battled the Winthrop Eagles (4-6-2, BSC: 1-4-1) for ninety minutes but Presbyterian came up short in a 1-0 setback to Winthrop on Senior Night at Martin Stadium on Saturday night. HOW IT HAPPENED
In the 30
th minute, Winthrop's Katy Feskorn crossed the ball to Hannah Taylor just inside the top of the box. Taylor shot the ball into the upper left corner of the goal for the game's only goal.
NOTABLES
- The Blue Hose finished the game with an 18-8 advantage in shots including 10 shots in the second half. The Blue Hose had six shots on goal in the game. Sloan Spees led Presbyterian with six shots. Reyna Coston added five shots. Caitlin Murphy recorded two shots. Alynne Paim, Hannah Austin, Lindsey Malyszek, and Ella Williams contributed a shot apiece to the Blue Hose's offensive attack.
- Presbyterian had six corner kicks in the game.
